World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades give players the ability to upgrade equipment that they already have. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and also add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs or Goldwraps for build casters.
Armour
Armour is one of the main factors that keep Link safe from harm in all situations. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defense capabilities in a variety of ways.
Armour is designed to protect animals or people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a variety of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, most armour was made from leather or fabric, but metal protections were also employed, especially for military applications like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain provides a different level of upgrade with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees and other materials.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been installed they aren't able to be removed until you own a different piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is recommended to only apply the highest-level upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have all the components needed to complete them.
You can find the upgrade components you require in a variety locations throughout Hyrule. item upgrading include shrines, merchants and even enemies. These are usually marked by the blue triangle or gold circle and are found in huge quantities as you progress through. While they might appear randomly, there is the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade components will lead to a quest that will reward players with more.
It's important to keep in mind that, even though the level provided by each upgrade may differ however, it will always be higher than nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will provide you with a substantial defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks except magic and makes it a formidable tool for any class.
Weapons
If you're looking to make your guns truly unique, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the performance of the weapon to match your specific build. They also allow new attachments like unique enchantments, various types of ammunition, as well as aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at or near an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons only be upgraded by one upgrade.
Weapon upgrade components can be found scattered throughout the world, from enemies or from merchants. Upgrade components are made up of components that you can incorporate into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. The equipment must be a certain level in order to accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mixture of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the effectiveness of weapons and increase their ability to scale with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's important to prioritise upgrading your top-of-the-line items first, followed by items that you won't need to replace soon. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your chest, shoulders feet, hands, and shoulders if you plan to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your playstyle, some procs will be more useful than others. The same is true for Armour, with some reforges having superior performance over others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item. If an upgrade plan has been canceled, no further upgrades will be offered for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to create or purchase, but they can provide other benefits.
item upgrades can be any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that include armor, shields and cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other objects. Certain of these items can be converted into a sentient.
The majority of magic items enhance their capabilities. This could make them more beneficial to players or help them to overcome a difficult situation. A weapon that is infused with some special substance could offer, for instance, an extra level of damage to a particular enemy type. This is especially useful for characters that have reached a level where they'll likely encounter the same type of monster in dungeons repeatedly.

A ring that is infused with magic might give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character is given a second rest. This is especially beneficial for melee martial characters or anyone who wishes to get rid of the cost and hassle of purchasing shields.
Certain objects with enchanted properties have special powers which allow the character to cast spells that are not on their class list. This is beneficial for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the number of Intelligence point expended.
Other items that are enchanted can allow the player to change their appearance, or even create a new appearance. These items are particularly useful for characters that are forced to leave their home or in a place that they might not be welcomed. An item that is magical can grant them an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to anyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that do not fit into the categories of Clothing, Armor or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. Contrary to Weapons and Armor they are not a single utility item that will be in conflict with the other. Most utility items provide an effect that a player can activate when using them, but some have additional abilities that are triggered when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in all directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can quickly create a variety of useful items, while others are only available through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to those available in their regular inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items are upgradeable to increase their effectiveness.
The majority of utility items boost an individual combat ability or give the player a kind of navigation advantage. For example, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman boost Concentration and Healing Power. Other utility items like Writs and Theses created by the Scribe can be used to give players either an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one useful item at the beginning of the campaign. Later, an additional slot becomes available through the use of certain types armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in another grenade slot. an offensive grenade can be placed in the main slot for grenades.
